Women's empowerment

The Active Gender for a Better Future for Women Project (GAD): Thanks to this project 70% of girls accompanied in SARDF (support structure for the reconstruction of the dignity of the girl) and other girls have finished their studies with success and dignity. The drop-out rate was reduced by more than 20% in the 12 schools. A meaningful collaboration was established between the school authorities, the parents, and GAD. Noteworthy results: girl students started talking about their rights, 20 cases of violence were denounced, and 2 teachers were dismissed for inappropriate behavior. This model proved so successful that FFC connected GAD with women from other provinces to share best practices. GAD has subsequently mobilized funds from other donors, ensuring sustainability.
