In another example, the organization Association Ugeuzi / Congo Change has:
Held two workshops and two conferences, the first training workshop focused on menstrual hygiene and the fight against STIs and HIV AIDS for 60 girls from 4 peer educator clubs. The second training focused on making reusable sanitary napkins. After the training, the girls created 218 menstrual pads which they sell at an affordable price as part of a sustainable income generating activity.
The purpose of the two conferences was to foster an exchange of experiences between the girls of the clubs and the girls of the community on the questions related to the problems of sexual and reproductive health. The two conferences brought together 240 people, including 223 girls.
